About Me

Hi, my name is Karen Page and I am an independent celebrant with many years experience officiating at funerals, weddings and naming ceremonies. Based in South West Surrey, I also cover Hampshire, West Sussex and the surrounding areas.

My background in creative writing combined with a passion for communicating and connecting with people is what drew me to celebrancy as a vocation and I have found it to be a truly rewarding experience.

Trained by the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants.

The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants

Every life, no matter how short or long, is unique, and the celebration and remembrance of that life should be unique as well.

My Services

FUNERALS

I know from experience how difficult it can be to arrange a funeral in the midst of grief, anger, and helplessness – to name just a few of the emotions that take hold of us at this time – and consider it a privilege to ease that path by helping to create a service in keeping with your philosophical, cultural and spiritual values.

Through listening to stories and memories of your loved one and working alongside you, I will create a service that is, not only a true reflection of their personality, but also a meaningful farewell for the people who were dear to them during their lifetime.

WEDDINGS

Congratulations! You have decided to take the wonderful step of marriage or a civil partnership, and whether you want to make your commitments in a hotel, on the beach, in ancient woodlands, or your own home or garden, it is all possible with a celebrant led ceremony.

I offer a no obligation meeting or Skype meeting and, if you decide I am the right celebrant for you, we will work together to create a unique wedding ceremony tailored around your individual personalities and beliefs about the partnership you are about to enter into.

Romantic, quirky, serious, sentimental – there are no restrictions on content, format or style. Whatever makes it perfect for you will be perfect for me.

BABY NAMING

Many people want to Christen their children but don’t want the formality and religious aspect of a church service, so a baby naming ceremony is the perfect compromise.

A baby naming ceremony is a fabulous way to celebrate new life and there are many different ways to make your own a unique and meaningful one. I create happy, personal and relaxed ceremonies held where and when the family choose.

As with the prospect of life itself, the possibilities of a naming day are endless and structured around the wishes and personality of the family.

“Marian has advised me they think you are amazing and very caring and wouldn’t have been able to pick a better person to look after Mum’s service” – Debbie

“I would like to extend the gratitude of my whole family for the wonderful caring and personal service you provided to my mum yesterday.  I personally am so so grateful for the comfort you gave me and I know Mum would have approved wholeheartedly of the send off she got” – Christine

“Karen made our wedding day absolutely perfect. She thought of so many personal touches that were totally in keeping with our ethos as a couple, but which we would never have thought of ourselves, and the whole experience was very emotional but at the same time a lot of fun and very relaxed.” – Debbie

“Karen officiated at our wedding and we knew straight away that she would make our baby naming day just as special.  And we were not disappointed.” – Jack
